Note: The Court Will Allow Residential Mortgage Foreclosure UMC Motions to be Heard on the Uniform Motion Calendar for Divisions A and C.

The Circuit Civil Judges will hold UMC via Zoom at 8:30 a.m. on the dates listed below.

Schedule is set on a “presiding/duty judge” rotation. The presiding/duty judge will hear civil UMC motions for both divisions on the assigned day, regardless of assigned judge. Motion to continue trials will not be heard on the UMC docket

All UMC hearings will occur via Zoom, no in court appearances allowed. The Judge will host the videoconference and you must file your notice with the Zoom credentials into the court file so that the hearing is still open to the public. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of your hearing. You must use the presiding judge’s zoom credentials.

UMC motions must be 5 minutes or less in length, unopposed and non-evidentiary. Hearings on the UMC docket are conducted on a “first come, first served” basis and are not scheduled through JACS or the Judicial Assistant. Due to the “drop in” nature of the UMC docket, no telephonic appearances are permitted. Attorneys must comply with the Rules of Civil Procedure and applicable case law in terms of notice and motion requirements and should email copies of all necessary pleadings to the Judge in accordance with their requirements.
