Magistrate Bailey's Zoom Video Conference Access Information

During COVID 19 and until further notice, ALL scheduled JACS hearings set before Magistrate Deborah Bailey will proceed using the Zoom platform.  Magistrate Bailey “hosts” the video/telephone conference so there is no need to set up your own.  You currently do not need to file a motion to appear telephonically for a hearing.

Until further notice, do not hand deliver or mail any documents to 2071 Ringling Boulevard for Magistrate Bailey’s hearings.  Please submit all hearing materials to the dedicated email account for hearing documents: MagBailey@jud12.flcourts.org

Please visit the Public Access to Court Hearings page for Zoom log-in credentials and procedures, including requirements for noticing a Zoom hearing, Zoom etiquette, and guidelines for evidentiary hearingsClicking on the Public Access page opens the Court Hearings on Zoom webpage.  Scroll down to the “Magistrates/Hearings Officers” portion of the judicial listing for Magistrate Bailey’s “Meeting information” where you will find her Meeting credentials.  There will be a single Meeting ID and password for all hearings set on each day.  The Meeting ID and password change each day.

NOTICING YOUR HEARING:  As of  February 1, 2021, the Chief Judge has approved standard language for noticing all Zoom hearings.  Please visit the Public Access to Court Hearings page, which opens the Court Hearings on Zoom webpage.  The required Notice of Hearing language is under the link “Notice of Hearing Minimum Requirements.”  Please adapt this form and use the required language when noticing your hearings.   The party scheduling the hearing must provide the Notice of Hearing and hearing materials at least five days prior to the hearing to the dedicated email account for hearing documents:  MagBailey@jud12.flcourts.org

RECORDING HEARINGS:  Magistrate Bailey records all of her hearings on Zoom.  Post-hearing, the recordings are uploaded by the Digital Court Recording Department.  An attorney may also retain a court reporter for a hearing, but the hiring attorney must provide the reporter with the appropriate Zoom credentials for the hearing.

No camera, no problem:  You can join a Zoom hearing by dialing the Audio Access Only number and, when prompted, put in the applicable Meeting ID and Password to access the hearing.

If you encounter difficulties in scheduling or have questions about any of these policies, please email Magistrate Bailey's assistant Donna Martin at dmartin@jud12.flcourts.org.
