Volunteer Opportunity

The Twelfth Judicial Circuit’s Citizen Dispute Settlement Program is currently seeking individuals interested in becoming a volunteer county court mediator.  Florida Supreme Court mediation certification training will be at NO COST to you!  Individuals trained will be required to volunteer a minimal amount of their time pursuant to program requirements in a county of their choice (Sarasota, Manatee & DeSoto Counties).  Certification training is scheduled for mid-October 2019.

The Citizen Dispute Settlement Program volunteers mediate a variety of disputes, such as; landlord/tenant, contracts, debts, neighborhood, condominium, employer/employee, and nuisances.  In addition, volunteers mediate court-ordered cases in Small Claims Pre-trials and County Civil Court.
