Judicial assistants, court manager receive circuit’s highest honor

Engraved, glass star is awarded to employees who exhibit the court’s motto, “Whatever It Takes!”

Three Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court employees were awarded the “Whatever It Takes!” glass star prize at the circuit’s annual employee recognition celebration.

Joanne Hulsart, JA to Circuit Judge Rochelle Curley, and Olivia Tarantino, JA to Circuit Judge Hunter Carroll, took home the top award in the Judicial Assistant category; Jackie Sotomayor, Administrative Services Manager, scored the glass star in the Court Administration category.

The glass star is awarded annually to court staff who go above and beyond their regularly assigned duties to ensure an efficient experience to internal and external court users.

Chief Judge Charles Roberts served as Master of Ceremony and recognized 21 employees that were celebrating a combined total of 295 years of service to the court and community. Eight of the 21 employees, which included Trial Court Administrator Kim Miller, marked 20-30 years of service.

Also recognized as circuit superheroes were Circuit Judges Kimberly Bonner, Don Hall, Diana Moreland, and Charles Roberts, the chief judge and administrative judges of each county, for guiding operations and solving a multitude of issues in all three courthouses during the pandemic.

Congratulations to our Whatever It Takes! award winners, circuit superheroes and those marking career milestones. The dedication to your work, your colleagues and the public does not go unnoticed.
