MISSION STATEMENTS

Mission: To improve the quality of judicial services provided to families involved in the court system by using community resources to review and improve existing procedures, and to study, identify and implement innovative programs and practices.

The Twelfth Judicial Circuit FLAG consists of many members from a variety of professions throughout our community. All FLAG members work as a team to accomplish the general mission of the FLAG. In addition, members have narrowed their focus and identified their own professional interests and goals for improvement.

PROFESSIONAL MISSION STATEMENTS

JUDICIARY

Mission: To establish standard procedures to minimize delay in the disposition of cases, to identify and coordinate resolution of crossover cases, and to promote innovation and improvement in court procedures affecting families in litigation.

COURT SUPPORT SERVICES

Mission: To review the quality of ancillary services provided to the judiciary by staff, public and private entities, and to make recommendations for improvement of such services, including to propose procedures to speed the resolution of significant issues in cases and ease the emotional stress of families in litigation.

LAW PROFESSIONALS

Mission: To propose administrative orders affecting litigants, members of the Bar and expert witnesses, to identify areas for improvement in Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court’s operating practices, and to inform FLAG members of important changes in laws and rules.

AGENCIES

Mission: To identify community services and resources available to families in crisis and in litigation, propose procedures for effective program referral, and provide recommendations for improvement in the existing quality of agency services.

FAMILY COURT PROFESSIONALS

Mission: To use the multi-disciplinary resources of the accounting and mental health professions to research, develop, and propose innovative programs and procedures that will facilitate the peaceful disposition of volatile legal issues, enhance the reliability of in-court expert testimony, and minimize the trauma of litigation on the family.
